Nov. 5, 2026. Lore Party Media today launched Spice & Dice, a Dungeons & Dragons actual-play podcast set in the far corners of the Dune universe. The first two episodes of its debut campaign, Voices of the Jihad, are available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever podcasts are found. New episodes release every Thursday.

Dungeon master Noah Perito, known on the show as the DUNEgeon Master, runs the game for Abu Zafar and Leo Wiggins, the hosts of Gom Jabbar: A Dune Podcast. Zafar and Wiggins are new to D&D, so Perito teaches them the game on mic as they play. The result is a show built for longtime players and for listeners who have never rolled a die.

“A lot of the actual-play podcasts we love are hard to recommend because of the homework,” said Zafar, founder of Lore Party Media. “Campaigns can run for 50-plus episodes. Spice & Dice keeps episodes shorter and campaigns contained, so there’s an easy way in no matter when you show up.”

Voices of the Jihad is set in the years between “Dune” and “Dune Messiah,” at the height of Paul Atreides’ jihad. Zafar plays Bruhan Murki, a fisherman and retired intelligence specialist with the 88th Fremen Sea Strike Battalion. Wiggins plays Volan Tosk, a fisherman and jack of all trades from the arctic village of Yako. Both men come from the sea world Maris, and both have seen enough of the jihad to decide that the Emperor has to die.

Each campaign runs weekly, followed by a one-month break before the next one begins. A second campaign set on the planet Ecaz is already in production.
